| We have purchased 2 dogs from you guys! Cooper who is from the July 2008 liter and recently Memphis from the Sept 2009 liter! We LOVE them so much and they are such a big part of our family! Cooper weighs in at 76 pounds and Memphis is growing so fast at 28 pounds but she still looks so small compared to Cooper! Keep up the great work with your liters! | We got our basset at the end of July, and we nammed her Annie. She was very healty and is a joy. She is now 4 months old and I have her enrolled in dog training classes to correct a few undesirable habits. We will be looking to get Annie a sister in a few months. Amy and Joe -- We do NOT know where to begin! Our lives and hearts have been changed forever since we brought our "Hattie" home. She is the newest addition of Southern Belle's here in Georgia . . and she truly is a princess. I PURCHASED MY HOLLY NOEL ON DECEMBER 30, 2008. SHE IS THE SWEETEST LITTLE DOG I HAVE EVER SEEN. I TOOK HER FOR HER FIRST CHECKUP, AND THE VET WAS SO IMPRESSED BY THE CARE THAT JOE AND AMY GIVE THEIR BABIES. HE SAID THEY GO ABOVE AND BEYOND WHAT OTHER BREEDERS DO AS FAR AS THEIR SHOTS, WORMING, AND GENERAL HEALTH CARE OF THEIR PUPPIES. HE SAID IF OTHER BREEDERS TOOK AS MUCH CARE AS THE WHISNANT'S THERE WOULDN'T BE MANY SICK AND UNWANTED DOGS. HE WAS SO IMPRESSED BY THE QUALITY OF MY PUP, HE EVEN OFFERED TO TAKE HER IF I EVER NEEDED TO FIND HER A HOME. (THAT WOULD NEVER, EVER HAPPEN). TO ANYONE WHO IS THINKING ABOUT BUYING A BASSET PUPPY, THE WHISNANT'S ARE THE ONLY PLACE IN MY OPINION, TO PURCHASE ONE FROM. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. I got my Maggie May on 1-6-09, had her only one week and she is the new princess of Pawleys Island. The most loving and sweetest puppy I have ever had ,or seen for that matter. First of all, I want to say that this site is amazing! We had a rescue basset hound for a short time and I had to give him up. I think he was a one owner dog and we are a family. I found your site on a Google search. We are considering raising a puppy. I had gotten quite attached to our doggy while we fostered him and I just sat here and had a good cry. | Our hearts are full of joy again! After losing our sweet Odie earlier this year, we found the Whisnants and their wonderful family of bassets and brought home Ringo. | thank you guys so much this was one of the best decision we made coming down there. Our son has a shadow named Duke and they are inseperable. Duke was taken for his first set of shots last december and now he weighs 15.1 pounds and the vet said he is just the right weight for how much he is growing. the only down fall i have had is trying to get our son to eat his own food without trying to share it with duke. thank you again have a great new year! | |||
