About Us
We welcome you to our "about us" page to give you more information on our family and our Bassets. My husband and I have 2 children, Leah, age 26 and Jacob,age 23. Leah currently lives in Germany with our 2 year old grandson, Ben. Jacob still lives at home here with the family of Bassets. He is our helper when we are tied down.I do add that he does a wonderful job taking care of our daily tasks when needed. Being able to socialize with these dogs and puppies is very important to us and new owner(s). Watching these babies is so fun, especially when they trip over those ears!
However,it won't be a fun time to see these big Basset Hounds of ours grow old as the years tick by. They are such a joy to us and are loved very dearly.
If you have ever lost your canine or even someone you love in your family,it can be devastating.Our home is about 3 miles to Hickory, NC,which is very close to the interstate of I-40. Our biggest city close to us is Charlotte,NC and is a nice little 1 hour drive.
Our moms and puppies have their own room,so we can watch closely on them. This has been such a great add- on to our program. The room is equipped with heat/AC,doggie doors, and all of the supplies we need on hand. The process of potty training has been easier since the doors were installed. Canines normally don't go to the bathroom where they sleep. Once we introduce the door to them at 5 weeks old its amazing how they learn to go out.
